As you may have noticed, I love recycling canning jars. I use then as drinking glasses,
coasters, storage, and now for a small Holiday wreath that I have hanging on the front door.
This wreath is so cheap and easy to make! I used were old canning jar lids (purchased at a thrift store for 5 cents each), strung them onto a cord and knotted the two ends of the cord together to make a circle.
That looks really good! Trouble is, we don't have such thrift stores - or the lids - available here in the UK. Could have done it when we lived in Canada in the 1980's: but they don't have canning jars like those you have the other side of the pond.
Hope the wreath brings you luck for 2012 and joy and pleasure over Christmas!
I have a TON of those, I still can vegetables and jelly, but you only need as many rings as fit in the canner... Have you tried spray painting it a festive color?
